MILKA Freeride
For a safe and anxiety free start to the bike sport - the Milka Line snakes along 3.2 kilometres and to an altitude of 380 metres from the middle station, past two snapshot stations and the "Milka Lila Pause“ Maisalm directly to the valley station of the Kohlmais train. Generous elevated bends, beginner friendly small timber elements and a route over moderate terrain offers the ideal playground to "sniff the freeride air" before you get onto the more demanding trails.

Taking your breath away or taking it easy: A true biker´s paradise with perfectly signposted trails for all levels – from "pleasurable & comfortable" to "thrilling & challenging. Whether easy, short Tours at high altitude with panoramic treats, amateur champions´ Marathon Tour, XXL-Freeridetour “Big5Challenge”, demanding single trails or pulse-racing Downhills – there is the perfect trail for all - Soulbikers, ambitious uphillers and daring downhillers.

Go XXL with the Big5 Challenge! The Big5 Challenge is a unique tour in the Alps, for bikers with lots of stamina only. With a descent of 5.000 m and 57 Km length in total this XXL-Tour is a real “must”, not only for fit tour bikers but especially for Freeriders. With the JOKER CARD five comfortable cable cars offer a free and energy-saving ascent with following pulse racing downhills on single trails galore with the breathtaking panorama of Upper Tauern and Leogang Mountain Range.

The BIG-5-BIKE Challenge was upgraded last summer with some technical features: at numerous checkpoints and snapshot-stations along the route the bikers can log this XXL tour and afterwards virtually re-experience it in front of the computer, print in PDF format and become “immortalised” in the Big5 Hall of Fame.

Freeride deluXe – The X-Line! In addition to the tried and tested adidas Freeride with the Evil Eye Trails (North shores) and the Blue-Line for rookies at Reiterkogel in Hinterglemm, Saalbach´s Schattberg offers another highlight for all freeriders with the X-Line. A natural single trail with 6,3 km length and a vertical drop of 1.025 m from the peak of Schattberg to the valley station of the fast 8-person-cablecar of Schattberg-Xpress.

The adidas Freeride – the route for pros and ambitious amateurs looking for the thrill of an adrenaline kick - is 1.9 kilometres long and rises to an altitude of 498 metres through varied and, in some cases, quite demanding terrain on natural single trails, root and rock sections, jumps and hairpin bends back down to the centre of Hinterglemm.  Appreciated equally by downhillers and freeriders alike is the Blue Line which challenge beginners but also experienced bikers.

Since its opening in 2001, the Bike Park Leogang established itself as one of the most prestigious bike parks in Europe. The extensive range from freeride over downhill, dual, North Shore or 4X-lines of the Bike Park Leogang is certified by the seal "Kona Groove Approved Bike Park”. For children there is a separate Mini Kids Bike Park for the first training sessions on the bike.

Biker friendly Huts: 30 cosy mountain huts invite you to take a rest and treat oneself with local specialties and refreshments. Several of these huts are awarded with the badge „Biker friendly Hut“. Huts labeled with this badge offer special Biker Menus as well as technical assistance with break-downs – spare tubes and tires, repair kits, air pumps which keep bikers going after  technical breakdowns.

Bikers now have the possibility to call up their personal “bikeline” by entering their lift pass number at www.bikeline.cc at the end of a day’s biking. The “bikeline” traces the selected route within the biking area with an altitude metre profile on a time chart. It contains a precise record of the used lifts, the total of altitude metres overcome as well as an estimation of the kilometres of downhill runs covered.

Tour planning in the world wide web: Already from home bikers can plan their tours – numerous tours are listed in a 3D-map and are also available for free download with elevation profile, roadbooks and GPS-data for the GPS-system.
