With the JOKER CARD Saalbach Hinterglemm presents a real innovation in order to enjoy the full diversity of the region making access to amenities even easier and more reasonably priced.

The new JOKER CARD of Saalbach Hinterglemm is included during a stay in one of the many selected JOKER CARD partner companies and offers amongst others free access to the cable cars in operation, the adventure trails Montelino on Kohlmais and Kodok on Reiterkogel, the hiking-bus, the noddy train and “devil's water” in the end of the valley as well as the open air pool in Saalbach. Furthermore, guests will also benefit from numerous discounts.

Four cable cars allow both the young and elderly to get one step closer to heaven without additional costs due to the JOKER CARD and without using too much energy as they take you directly up to the starting point of many hiking and mountainbike tours.

A special highlight for families with children are the included services of the popular attractions like the Montelino's adventure trail on Kohlmais Mountain and Expedition Kodok & Mount Kodok on Reiterkogel.

Adventure trail “Montelino” for Families and Children
Kids and families enter the fabulous world of the little clown Montelino who lost his smile…  Can the kiddies help Montelino to be all smiles again? Along a scenic walking trail from top to middle station of Kohlmais Mountain through woods and alpine meadows the kiddies search for the clown´s lost friends and toys within a beautiful environment of nature. New stages are being installed for this Summer.

“The mystery of Mount Kodok” is an adventure trail for kiddies and youngsters who keep track of the gremlin Kodok with the aid of the mysterious clues and riddles along the adventure trail on Reiterkogel to bring back the magic hat. The thrilling adventure of "Mount Kodok" makes hiking a great experience for all kiddies and youngsters. Equipped with an adventure pass, which is included in the liftpass, the young treasure hunters walk along the loop trail to unravel the mystery of the stolen clown´s hat.

Expedition Kodok!
The adventure trail “Expedition Kodok” for all treasure hunters and explorers is split up in two expedition-styles. Chose if you are the oldschool-pirate that explores the trail with a treasure map and compass or if you are more the type of a high-tech-explore equipped with GPS-device and coordinates. The story behind the adventure: Kodok has hidden magic crystals that supply him with witchery – discover the crystals to disempower the evil Kodok.

Say Cheeeeeese!
At the SnapShot Points at the start of the Kodok trail on Reiterkogel, on Montelino's adventure trail as well as on Zwölferkogel and Schattberg all guests have the opportunity to create their own personal vacation snapshot. Under www.saalbach.com these photos can then directly be sent to friends and family as an electronical Postcard.

Heavenly offers for Water Babies
For a cool-down after an exciting hike, the Pirates outdoor pool “Captain Hook” ensures pure water fun: A 1000 m² water oasis with underwater music and three separate water slides, beach volleyball court, open air cinema for kids and rain zones make for a perfect score of 10 on the 10-point fun factor scale.

The „Devil´s Water“ water park of Saalbach Hinterglemm is located at  the valley end, close to the mountain hut Lindlingalm, which can be comfortably reached with the colourful noddy train. In this treasured theme park with spring-fed crystal clear water, pebble pools and dancing forest-trolls, kids and adults can experience the fascination of water with all senses and discover a whole new perspective on this element of nature.

Creativity „Back to the Roots“ at Carpenter’s Woodpark (Schnitza’s Holzpark)
The theme park is located next to the “Devil´s Water” and contains numerous wood games, obstacles of balance, tree-disc puzzles as well as snap-shot opportunities with oversized carved animals. A weekly workshop with the carpenter ‚Herbert‘offers all age groups the chance to show their creative side.  You can look for the „ingredients“ yourself on a relaxing stroll alongside the river ‚Saalach‘ , such as stones, driftwood,  cones and other treasures to contribute to an artistic picture, lampshade or sculpture.

A particular weekly highlight at the wookpark  is a visit from the nature expert „Survival Mike“ Sattler.  Through a demonstration he will illustrate the most important codes of practice for the majority of dangers in the mountains.  Both big and small situations can be highlighted in an authentic surroundings of the woodpark on how one can deal with these situations with natural aids: fire, ropes or bowls.

Ropes Course with Europe´s longest zip-line
Individual stations in the breathtaking surrounding of the valley end require climbing, balancing, sliding and swinging at different heights over rope- and bridge constructions. Europe´s longest zip-line makes daring hikers fly eagle-like over the valley end.

Treetopwalk with the „Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps”
The treetop walk with the „Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps” is a 1 km long round path in the tree tops combined with a 200 m long rope bridge - a unique project in Europe. A massive larch wood construction with stairs, towers, bridges and platforms offers several spots with an excellent view attracting old and young, nature lovers as well as adventurers.

Around 30 cosy mountain huts not only stand for picturesque resting places, they also host alpine festivals throughout the summer, where local folk music bands play their traditional music and the mountain hut landlords conjure up and serve the tasty Pinzgauer specialties on their tables.
