European Snowstar 2012

The SNOWstar races are a combination of slalom/giant slalom, skicross and freestyle elements. The Emmi SNOWstar Tour 2012 consists of four national competitions (Innsbruck, Alta Badia, Arosa and Salzburgerland) and a European final in Verbier. A professional presenter will provide a lively commentary on what is happening on the slope.

In keeping with the motto “skistyle is lifestyle“, there will also be an attractive social programme for competitors and spectators for every race in the Chill Area. For the second time the Völkl young blood freeski camp is this year held in the Nightpark Hinterglemm presented by Roxy at the Unterschwarzach cable car. Since its foundation more than four years ago, the young blood camps among the best known and most successful freeski camps in the German-speaking countries. The inherited from the United States and based on Pro coaching concept has proven true success over the years. The best freeski-Pro ´s from Austria show their skills to young people. That make a mixture of theory of motion, video coaching and of course the redesigned Nightpark Hinterglemm presented by Roxy make this weekend for the kids to an unforgettable experience. As the first athlete reaches the Schattberg summit, dusk breaks over the Glemm valley, but there are further summits waiting for the participants before they arrive at the finish in Saalbach. All spectators can watch the action LIVE and for free from the middle station and finish line. Transport is provided by the Schattberg X-Press.

The Mountain Attack has been recognized as both the leading international and Austrian national mountaineering ski event.
